Through My Sister’s Eyes

This poem, Through My Sister’s Eyes, is for every woman still learning to see herself with kindness and love. It reminds us that healing often begins when we start to view ourselves through the eyes of those who care deeply about us. If you’re on a journey of self-acceptance and growth, this poem offers a moment of reflection and hope.

Through My Sister’s Eyes
To see myself through my sister’s eyes
Would mean I am healed.
Maybe my wild, curly hair
Isn’t as ridiculous as I feared.

To see myself through her eyes
Would mean I feel loved—
Loved by me.
Finally free
To believe I’m enough.

If I could see what she sees,
I’d be proud.
I’d be loud.
I wouldn’t shrink to make room for doubt.

I wouldn’t care what others say.
I’d move through the world
Unapologetically.

If only I could see myself
The way my sister does…
Maybe—
I could love myself,
The way my sister does.
